Overview

This experiential retreat-style workshop intends to expose educators to mindfulness-based social-emotional learning practices that can support them

on their journey of self-awareness and personal emotional regulation.

Day 1

Session 1

Opening Circle

gathering circle to come together and understand our common purpose. An invitation to explore the flow of the retreat and a grounding mindfulness session.

Session 2

Exploration of Personal Values

 

In this session, the participant will explore a reflective exploration of personal values and how they can be used to guide our intentions. Stories and open-ended materials will be used to reflect on the understanding of values.

Session 3

Mindfulness of Emotions

In this session, participants will learn through guided meditation and hands-on exploration, examining how emotions show up in our minds and bodies, and how we may harness them to support our decision-making. The Plutchik's model of emotions will be used in this exercise.
