Target Audience

Teachers and Instructional Coaches
Background
Too often teachers are the ones thinking about the learning happening in a classroom and analyzing data to understand student progress. To create more sustainability, teachers must partner with learners and share this responsibility.

Metacognitive skill-building routines provide students with the tools they need to think about their own learning and monitor their own progress. Formative assessment data can support this process of helping students to develop as expert learners.
Objective
This workshop will focus on developing a partnership with learners and embracing a workflow that positions the learners as active agents in the learning process.

Teachers will leave this training with concrete strategies designed to help them shift to a more student-led sustainable workflow. This workshop is hands-on and practice-based, so participants will leave with resources they can use immediately.
